Our founder
Dr. Christiaan Desmond
Founder and Principal, Mountain Park Group
Christiaan founded Mountain Park Group in 2009. For more than 20 years he has secured and managed large-scale public and philanthropic funding for colleges, workforce agencies, nonprofits and businesses.
He has won and overseen individual awards from $500,000 to $8 million, with funding from the U.S. Department of Education, Department of Labor, National Science Foundation, National Institutes of Health and SBIR programs, as well as major private foundations.
He also brings more than 20 years of shared governance experience at institutions across multiple states. As a current higher education leader, he knows what colleges need from a partner because he works inside one.
His work centers on workforce development, advanced manufacturing, education systems and cross-sector partnerships, with a steady focus on compliance and measurable outcomes.
